Weidmann Croatia Receives EU Support for Innovative R&D Project

Weidmann Electrical Technology Croatia is proud to announce that it has received funding support from the European Union through Croatia’s Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development (MINGROP) and the innovation agency HAMAG BICRO. The grant will support a regional innovation initiative focused on the Research and Development of Innovative Insulation Components for Transformers, aligned with Industry 4.0 manufacturing technologies.

The project officially launched on January 1, 2025, and will run over a 36-month period, driving advancements in transformer insulation solutions that meet the evolving demands of the energy sector. This initiative reinforces Weidmann’s commitment to long-term innovation and excellence in engineering, particularly in support of the global energy transition.

Robert Malasic, Regional Manager for Weidmann Croatia, emphasized the significance of the project:
