Employee Spotlight: Antun Matosevic
What is your role at Weidmann? What does it involve, and how long have you worked for the company?
Currently, I am transitioning from a Customer Service Team Lead to an Account Manager, and I will be responsible for the Italian market, the Balkans, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Siemens Austria.
I am a bridge between our customers and our organization, maintaining and developing good customer relationships. My focus is to satisfy customer needs and, at the same time, take care of the company’s interests.
What other roles have you held, and in which industry sector(s)?
I started at Weidmann in March 2020 in a customer service role responsible for Italy, the UK, the Indian market, and countries around Bangladesh and Pakistan. The following year, I was promoted to Customer Service Team Lead, and now, after almost six years with the company, I am moving to sales. I enjoy roles that work closely with our customers and help to grow the organization. I am grateful to the colleagues around me for recognizing my potential and believing in me.
What do you find interesting about Weidmann?
It is a very dynamic organization in a very dynamic market segment, at least for the moment. Since I joined Weidmann six years ago, the company has been constantly growing. Every year, there is a new project, new investments, or other developments. We have consistently grown. The company I started working for six years ago is now almost unrecognizable (of course, in a good way).
From a work perspective, what are your key objectives?
It is important to me to keep an eye on margin and maintain excellent relationships with our customers, even in this challenging supply chain environment.
What are the main challenges in sales and customer service in the energy sector?
In today’s market situation, we are facing two major challenges: satisfying increased requests from the market with more limited resources. The main challenge is to secure deliveries and quantities as requested. The second challenge is to secure acceptable lead times.
What are your interests outside of work?
I like being in nature, hiking, exploring new places and cities, and learning about their history. In elementary school, I was part of the school orchestra, and I have recently bought a mandolin, so I am trying to get back on the musical tracks as well.
